Positive actions that will improve your appearance. Looking
better can help you feel better.
With so many stress
relievers you have many choices. Having many choices is very important
because:
·
Different
situations demand different approaches. For example assuming you like
very much taking a walk in beautiful sunny scenery, in summertime this
is very easy and pleasant, but in wintertime this is very difficult and
in many occasions unpleasant (bad weather). Or stress takes many forms
and invades in our lives in many ways. So we need an arsenal of weapons
or many weapons to fight. That’s why many stress management programs
combine a number of stress relievers.
·
There are
options you simply don’t like. For example exercise is one of the most
popular and effective stress reliever. But for many people, exercise
adds more stress in their lives, or they simply don’t like it. So find
an effective, pleasant and fun stress reducer, not something that makes
you feel more stressed.
·
Ask
yourself: “how do I feel? Does this particular stress reliever gives me
a sense of relaxation? Is it funny?
How easy is for me to stick with it? Thinking about it, gives me a
feeling of relaxation or
stresses
me more?
·
Smart
combinations: you can combine two or more of them resulting in a better
de-stressing effect. For example a study concluded that combining
massage with aromatherapy has better relaxing results.
·
For a better
calming effect it is very important to connect your body with your mind.
For example a relaxing action (like jogging or playing a music
instrument), will be more effective with a focused mind. Focus on your
action, feel the relaxing effect, enjoy it!
